Few origins can offer mangoes in February, blueberries in November, or fresh tomatoes in January. Yunnan can. The province's combination of latitude (just north of the Tropic of Cancer), elevation, and diverse microclimates enables year-round production of seasonal produce that supplies the Russian, Central Asian, and Middle Eastern markets during their off-seasons.
